Big Team Challenge's corporate responsibility

As a modern company working in the health and wellbeing industry it only makes sense that we would want to make a plan for a future that ensures not only the best for our own team, but also for the planet we all inhabit.

We've already made some important changes over the last few years, including a commitment to the Living Wage initiative in the UK, increasing our employee benefits, switching to green energy data centres, and ensuring we give back with support and donations to charities.

Offering free and discounted challenges to charities

While we know that Big Team Challenge can offer huge returns on investment, it can often still be difficult for smaller charities to pay the setup fee of our challenges. That is why, by default, we offer all charities a discounted rate to use our system.

Each year we also hand-select a number of charities to run a challenge completely free!

Turning green

Lowering the impact our company has on the planet

As a software company we're lucky that we don't have supply lines, transport and plastic waste to worry about, but there's other concerns you might not even realise. Things such as data centres; which are a growing concern for everyone right now due to their high levels of energy consumption.

This is why we work with a hosting provider in the EU which is a verified Green Web Provider.

Giving back with green initiatives

Starting in 2022, we began planting trees on behalf of our customers to thank them for choosing us. It's our way of using some of our profits to give back, while also being a great tool for our customers to begin talking about their own green ambitions.

So far

With the help of our customers we've planted over 29,000 trees

Working with Ecologi we've helped plant over 29,000 trees all around the world, from Peru to Mozambique. Ecologi's aims aren't to plant these as part of a carbon capture strategy, but instead are focused on re-wilding existing eco-systems and boosting areas that have been badly damaged by human interference.

A free walking platform for individuals

WorldWalking.com

In 2025 we have ambitious plans to launch our new free-to-use platform, World Walking, that allows individuals and small groups to get together and enjoy walking around the world.

We wanted to launch this platform for those that might not be able to afford Big Team Challenge and simply want to enjoy our fun virtual walks with friends and family.
